Senior Manager Enterprise Architecture

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Enterprise Architecture to join our team at CYBEX GMBH. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for defining and implementing our technology vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with our business goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliverables, and assist in setting expectations within the business.
  • Develop and maintain our overall technology vision and strategy, ensuring its progress within our Product Development roadmap.
  • Create and present Architecture Design Documents that capture non-functional requirements from the perspective of business, software, data, and infrastructure architectures.
  • Review architecture documents created by your team to ensure completeness in vision and accounting for competing concerns of the technology strategy, non-functional requirements, customer needs, and product roadmap.
  • Mentor and develop engineering staff in architectural concerns.
  • Stay current on technical advances in the industry, including microservices, distributed systems, cloud, deployment and delivery automation, machine learning.
  • Accountable for the design, ease of evolution, quality of the systems, performance, scaling, and availability characteristics of the systems.
  • Support and reinforce our development process with the architecture and product management teams, acting as a champion for high-quality implementations, and helping communicate and clarify our processes.
  • Perform code and design reviews of components created by engineers and architects.
  • Drive the architectural and service governance program (guardrails).
  • May occasionally need to perform hands-on development of interfaces and frameworks for the engineering team to further implement.
  • Work with product management, business stakeholders, and other engineering leaders to help define mid-term, and long-term roadmaps and shape business directions; drive the non-functional requirements of the product.
  • Meet occasionally with enterprise customers in support of our largest deals, create presentations for customers representing our technology current and future state, provide estimates and guide scoping for extensive mission-critical system needs, and mentor the team to do so.

    Requirements:

    • Develops enterprise architecture governance structure based on business and IT strategies.
    • Develops the technical capability of their team as well as the IT organization as a whole.
    • Is passionate about integrating data and applications to create world-class composable systems architectures.
    • Analyzes technology industry and market trends and determines potential impact upon the enterprise.
    • Obsesses about creating and maintaining useful reference architecture standards.
    • Develops relationships with vendors and business partners.
    • Acts as a consultant to IT and business leaders.
    • Will have responsibility for performance and coaching of staff and will have a participatory role in decisions regarding talent selection, development and performance.
