We are seeking a highly skilled Chemical Compliance Engineer to join our team at LG Electronics. As a key member of our compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring our products meet the highest standards of chemical safety and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth analysis and evaluation of complex technical and legal issues related to chemical content and restrictions in electrical and electronic equipment, packaging, and batteries.
  • Provide compliance guidance and advice on technical and administrative requirements, and handle market surveillance cases by providing required technical documents to member state authorities.
  • Collaborate with relevant BU compliance/standard teams and EU sales subsidiaries to ensure compliance with national authorization's market surveillance, customer inquiries, and B2B tender support.
  • Develop and implement general environmental regulation compliance policies, including UK regulations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely Declaration of Conformity (DoC) and Green claims/Green washing compliance.
  • Qualify candidates with a Master's degree in chemical/environmental/sustainability engineering and minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar function.
Requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze complex technical and legal documents.
  • In-depth knowledge of European regulations relevant to LGE product compliance.
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills to engage internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
