Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Executive to join our team in Germany. As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for identifying and growing new business opportunities in the DACH region, covering academic, governmental, and medical institutions. Your primary focus will be on developing relationships with librarians, faculty leaders, and researchers to promote our products, including Taylor & Francis Journals and eBooks, as well as our Open Access initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of customers, building strong relationships and providing tailored sales services to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Plan and execute online and onsite meetings with key individuals to close adoption business and other sales opportunities in the DACH region.
  • Analyze sales figures, maintain our adoption database, and communicate with colleagues in sales, marketing, and editorial departments.
  • Monitor sales of key adoptions, highlighting underperforming areas and taking action to rectify them.
  • Maintain accurate and timely CRM systems.
  • Liaise with colleagues in other sales teams to ensure effective information sharing and achieve appropriate stockholding and sell-through.
  • Build and maintain external and internal relationships, promoting our Journal and E-Books sales strategy across the wider business and externally.
  • Develop alternative routes to market, including direct sales for digital content, ensuring consistency with our overall sales strategy.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities and highlight any problems or challenges, recommending solutions.
  • Prepare for, attend, and contribute to sales meetings to build product knowledge, strategic awareness, and gather market intelligence.

Requirements:

  • Self-motivated, independent, and organized individual with a passion for sales.
  • Proven track record of success in sales or business development.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent commercial outlook with the ability to make recommendations to support sales targets.
  • Fluent in English and German.
