About the Job

HENSOLDT Optronics GmbH is seeking a Data Manager to join their team in Oberkochen. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive data quality strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a data quality strategy that aligns with business objectives
  • Establish and enforce data quality standards, procedures, and documentation
  • Define, introduce, and regularly monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for data quality
  • Lead activities for data cleansing, validation, and enrichment, as well as moderation of working groups and committees on data quality
  • Collaborate with data owners, data stewards, and IT to resolve data quality issues
  • Provide training and support for employees on best practices for data quality
  • Identify data quality risks and develop mitigation strategies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, or a related field
  • Several years of experience in data management, data quality, or a similar role with proven success in leading data quality initiatives/projects
  • Excellent tool knowledge (including programming of routines) XLS, Power-BI, SAP R3 / S4 Hana, as well as common data quality tools and technologies
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and completeness
  • Extensive experience in leading cross-functional data quality projects from initiation to completion
  • Analytical, structured, and proactive, as well as result-/goal-oriented thinking and working
  • High level of resilience and flexibility in adapting to changing priorities and business requirements
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English to effectively convey data quality concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Engagement in continuous learning and professional development
  • Team player and enjoyment of working in teams
  • Fluent English and German
