{"h2": "Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic", "p": "We are seeking a skilled Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As a senior journeyman, you will be responsible for performing a full range of repair work on heavy-duty mobile equipment and vehicles powered by internal combustion engines. This includes construction, industrial, and combat equipment and vehicles. You will completely remove, disassemble, and reassemble engines, power packs, transmissions, differentials, suspensions, and brake systems from vehicles, and locate malfunctions in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. You will decide on work methods, tools, and equipment, which are best suited to complete assignments in the most economical and efficient way. You will also render advice to personnel in lower grades in proper workmanship and techniques of work accomplishment, and perform on-the-job training. Adheres to applicable safety provisions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

* Perform repair work on heavy-duty mobile equipment and vehicles
* Remove, disassemble, and reassemble engines, power packs, transmissions, differentials, suspensions, and brake systems
* Locate malfunctions in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
* Decide on work methods, tools, and equipment
* Render advice to personnel in lower grades
* Perform on-the-job training

Requirements:

* Completed vocational training of at least 30 months in the appropriate trade
* OR 5 years of specialized experience
* OR Completed vocational training in the appropriate trade PLUS 2 years experience at a level of difficulty comparable to the Wage Group 5 or equivalent
* Führerschein Klasse B wünschenswert (German driver's license class B desired)
* Englischlevel A1 und Deutschlevel C1 erforderlich (English Language Proficiency level A1 AND German Language Proficiency level C1 required)
