About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Cloud Data Architect to join our 80-strong, culturally diverse team in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures. Collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders, you will optimize data integration, storage, and retrieval processes.



Key Responsibilities


As Chief Cloud Data Architect, your primary functions include:



  • Designing and developing our Business Intelligence (BI) and data architecture solution in the cloud
  • Developing data solutions using various platform technologies, such as Databricks, Logic Apps, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse
  • Creating low-code solutions with Power Platform
  • Implementing DevOps principles across the organization
  • Developing our integrated data layer as the foundation for data-driven analysis and reports using SQL and PySpark
  • Supporting the development team in selecting and implementing suitable data technologies
  • Evaluating new developments in the field of data technologies


Requirements


To be successful in this role, you should have:



  • Completed training or studies in the field of IT
  • Experience working with various database technologies, scalable big data storage, and cloud-based data-integration tools
  • Knowledge of agile project processes, such as Scrum and Kanban, and experience with Atlassian Suite
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with colleagues in English
  • At least 3 years of experience working with databases or BI environments and ETL/ELT experience with data integration and processing


Estimated Salary


The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
