Cloud Infrastructure Architect

As a Cloud Infrastructure Architect at Impossible Cloud GmbH in Hamburg, Germany, you will design and implement the technical architecture for cutting-edge infrastructure projects.
You will work closely with Developers, other DevOps engineers, and release management to ensure the reliable deployment of software components.
You take ownership and challenge conventional approaches to deploy code efficiently.
You will be one of the first engineers to build innovative cloud-based infrastructure from scratch in the blockchain industry.
Key Responsibilities- You share ownership with developers to create shared responsibility and reduce organizational silos
- Setting up and implementing the release management process
- Building Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) from scratch
- Observe areas that require automation and initiate actions to automate tasks
- Design, create, and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines based on modern frameworks
- Ensure the operation and maintenance of applications, considering monitoring, alerting, logging, and security aspects
- Develop & maintain cloud security solutions and integrate security services
- Implement patch management across the whole infrastructure and tech stacks
- Setting up testing and deployment automation processes
- Have worked as a Senior member or Team Tech lead in a DevOps capacity
- Have mentored junior Engineers on your team
- You should bring experience with high-level programming languages like Typescript, Go, Python, or others
- Experience with managing Linux systems
- Hands-on experience with databases or search engines like PostgreSql / MongoDB / ElasticSearch
- Ideally, you have worked with container technologies like Docker and/or Kubernetes
- Being familiar with DevOps principles, practices, and technologies
- You have worked already with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar
- You are familiar with some cloud providers like AWS, GCP, Azure, or others
- Ideally, you bring first-hand experience in the blockchain industry
- It would help if you were savvy with architecture, deployment methods, and monitoring solutions
- Experience in Docker, k8s, Mesos
- One or more of: S3, EFS, Cloudera, Azure Blobs, GCP Cloud Storage
