Job Summary

We are seeking an Engineer with a passion for programming, data analysis, and a customer-centric attitude to join our team. As a Process Engineer with Data Science Experience, you will be responsible for ensuring the long-term economical operation of our plants through data analysis and specific plant knowledge.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring data quality in in-house tools for new and existing plants
  • Developing detailed root cause and trend analyses
  • Creating analysis tools and algorithms
  • Optimizing operating times, energy, and operating resource consumption of plants
  • Closing cooperation and exchange of experience with other departments
  • Submitting suggestions for improvement for future projects
  • Managing automatic standard reports in in-house tools
  • Creating fleet analyses and comparisons and deriving solutions and mitigation measures
  • Awareness of HSE requirements relevant to the function, implementing them, and complying with them
  • Willingness to travel (10-20%)

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • MSc Eng., preferably in mechanical engineering, process engineering, or chemical engineering
  • Several years of process experience in large-scale plant construction or operation for waste incineration or dry anaerobic digestion
  • Interdisciplinary working skills
  • Analytical thinking and enjoyment of technical problems and their solutions
  • Convincing others even in controversial discussions
  • Ability to identify possible solutions, adapt them to the situation, and execute them
  • Experience in using best practices to identify complex problems
  • Ability to carry out tasks independently with the help of guidelines, procedures, and regulations
  • Independent working style/practitioner
  • Closed collaboration in cross-functional and cross-departmental teams

Methodological Competence

  • Very good communication skills in German and English, other languages are an advantage
  • Analytical thinking and enjoyment of developing and implementing solutions to technical problems
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office
  • User knowledge of CAE tools (Comos etc.) and database administration
  • High quality awareness, entrepreneurial, and networked thinking and acting
  • User knowledge of Python or R as well as Power BI or Tableau, Flux, and SQL is an advantage
  • Continuous Learning and Digitalisation mindset
  • Good knowledge of functional diagrams and descriptions
