Job Title: Transportation Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Assistant to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for providing transportation support services to our personnel and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide transportation assistance to Department of Defense personnel and their families, including personal property shipments and storage.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with Total Quality Assurance Program (TQAP) standards.
  • Perform customs clearance and inspections for outbound shipments.
  • Assist with the processing of personal property shipments, including determining authorized shipments and providing advice on shipping and storage options.
  • Provide information and assistance to service members on matters concerning travel authorizations and personal properties.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of creditable experience in a related field, such as clerical work or experience in the same or similar line of work as the job for which considered.
  • Experience in office automation and computer skills, including knowledge of DPS (Defense Personal Property System).
  • Valid driver's license class B and ability to obtain/maintain a military motor vehicle operator's license.
  • Language proficiency level C1 in English and B1 in German.
