Industrial Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Engineer to join our Process & Industrial Engineering team at Skeleton Technologies. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for successfully commissioning and starting equipment and processes in our new Leipzig Gigafactory.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the single point of contact for equipment manufacturers during project execution, tracking supplier progress via regular timeline and task list reviews.
- Be responsible for assigned parts of the manufacturing line, ensuring that technical specifications are implemented in equipment.
- Solve and close technical open points related to equipment, maintaining and structuring equipment-related documentation for future scale-up phases.
- Internal responsibility for equipment FAT at the manufacturer's site, documenting FAT reports, assigning post-FAT improvement actions, and serving as the contact person for move-in to Skeleton's factory.
- Be responsible for equipment commissioning and SAT in Skeleton's factory, ensuring that equipment manufacturing is on time and on cost.
- Provide daily input to the project back office and leadership team regarding the timeline and progress of assigned manufacturing equipment.
- Execute calculations for manufacturing output according to overall scale-up requirements.
- Define product and process specifications, develop test plans, and implement them in production, defining and checking acceptance criteria for energy storage solutions.
- Hold a degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- Have 2-5 years of professional experience in the battery- or supercapacitor industry in big-scale production, specifically in the Formation process area.
- Understand manufacturability studies and have experience with PFMEA processes and evaluation of manufacturing equipment.
- Be able to troubleshoot and fix bugs, with previous experience in dealing with customer escalations.
- Bring a sense of business thinking and project management experience would be beneficial.
- Have a structured working style, be focused, and have a strong will to solve process- and manufacturing problems.
- Be independent in your work but maintain a friendly demeanor and team-oriented approach.
- Be willing to go the extra mile and eager to learn and develop.
- Have fluent English language skills, with German being a significant advantage.
