About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Engineer to join our Mobile Tribe at Deutsche Bank Technology in Berlin. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our native Android banking apps and SDKs using a modular architecture.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement user-centric, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions for our Android banking apps and SDKs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, UX/UI Designers, QA Engineers, and Security Specialists, in an Agile work environment.
  • Ensure top performance, code quality, reusability, and participate in code reviews.
  • Comply with general coding and security standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and direction to the tribe on various technical and architectural topics.

Your Skills and Experience

  • University degree in Computer Science or comparable professional experience.
  • Wide experience in mobile engineering, strongly versed in Android development, and a strong knowledge of Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, dependency injection, reactive programming, and coroutines.
  • Good understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture, MVI), and clean coding standards.
  • Excellent knowledge of REST/JSON-based service architectures, code versioning (GIT), CI/CD processes (GitHub Actions), and build tools.
  • Good understanding of security mechanisms, such as Android KeyStore, encryption, SSL pinning, and hardening (ProGuard, DexGuard or similar).
