**About the Department of IT**

The Department of IT is responsible for providing technical support and services to the university community. We are seeking an experienced IT specialist to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of our directory services.

**Job Summary**

We are looking for a highly skilled IT specialist to join our team and take on the following responsibilities:

  • Administer and develop the NetIQ IAM/eDirectory, OpenLDAP, and MS Active Directory systems, including 2nd-level support and implementing security measures to protect against cyber threats.
  • Develop and implement organizational policies to harden the MS Active Directory structure, including updating the disaster recovery plan.
  • Configure and provide interfaces to supply data from various IT systems to users, based on Windows and Linux platforms.
  • Develop and implement a concept for introducing multi-factor authentication and train IT service desk staff to support users.

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of NetIQ IAM and eDirectory, as well as OpenLDAP and MS Active Directory.
  • Knowledge of current Linux server systems and containerization.
  • Knowledge of complex MS Active Directory infrastructures, including installation and operation of ADs/DCs in a forest, GPOs, and AD recovery.
  • Knowledge of current Windows server systems and object-oriented programming (PowerShell, C#).
  • Teamwork and self-motivation, as well as the ability to learn new topics quickly.
  • Conceptual competence, a high level of quality awareness, good communication and cooperation skills, and a high level of service orientation.
  • Fluent German language skills, both written and spoken, as well as good English language skills.
