Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer to lead the development of our optimization platform. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing strategic tech initiatives, researching technological trends, and driving innovation efforts.

Your Responsibilities
  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of our end-to-end optimization platform, encompassing data ingestion and processing, optimization logic implementation, battery control, automated power trading, accounting, and settlement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across the company to understand stakeholder and customer needs, industry trends, and ensure we build the right solutions.
  • Mentor and guide team members, enhancing their workflows with your extensive knowledge and experience.
  • Define and promote engineering best practices, educating engineers and data scientists on designing and delivering maintainable, iterative solutions.
  • Support colleagues during onboarding, daily operations, and strategic tasks.
Requirements
  • 8 years of experience in Software Engineering (Backend and algorithmic) in the cloud.
  • 3+ years of experience with Python, including object-oriented design.
  • 4+ years of experience in onboarding, mentoring, and coaching colleagues in junior and mid-level positions.
  • Proactivity in understanding industry trends and business complementary to technical experience.
  • Proven track record of pragmatic delivery and strategic project execution.
  • Experience working cross-functionally, especially with Product and Data Science teams.
