Your Responsibilities

As a Design Development Engineer at thyssenkrupp nucera AG & Co. KGaA, you will be responsible for developing innovative and cost-effective solutions for our alkaline electrolysis cells and electrolyzer stacks for green hydrogen applications, with a major focus on transport solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new solutions for alkaline electrolysis cells and electrolyzer stacks.
  • Prepare and modify drawings, specifications, and test documents for mechanical and structural components of transport devices.
  • Transfer development results to product qualification for serial production.
  • Interface with external partners for development projects and conduct technical conversations with suppliers.
  • Execute independent development projects, including cost control.
  • Analyse results and prepare result presentations for the business leader.
  • Contribute to building and maintaining design and manufacturing requirement standards.
  • Participate in inspections, investigations, and troubleshooting.

Your Profile

We are looking for a highly motivated and team-oriented individual with a university degree in mechanical engineering, production engineering, or equivalent.

Your Key Qualifications:

  • University degree in mechanical engineering, production engineering, or equivalent.
  • Adequate work experience in sheet metal designing and processing, design of steel structures.
  • Familiarity with modern CAD tools (3D/2D) and PDM/PLM Systems.
  • Ability to think analytically and identify development potentials.
  • Highly motivated and team-oriented individual.
  • Intercultural awareness and proficiency in German and English.
  • Will to travel inside Germany and internationally on a regular basis.
