About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Biomolecular Analysis Division in Waldbronn, Germany. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing high-quality software products in an agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving innovation in biomolecular quality control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software that integrates with newly developed analytical instruments, working closely with software and firmware developers, testers, product managers, and scientists.
  • Develop embedded software components that run in Linux environments on analytical instruments.
  • Design and develop web applications in an Agile Scrum or Kanban lifecycle.
  • Develop front-end software that interacts with a back-end via web protocols, running on a Windows environment.
  • Take ownership of quality and timely delivery of products.
  • Work in a hybrid model, with a mix of on-site and remote work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or software engineering or equivalent with sufficient industry experience.
  • Experience in software design and development of standalone or client/server software products, using web applications frameworks such as Angular, Typescript, and Javascript.
  • Experience in designing future-proof software architectures, including object-oriented programming methodologies and practices.
  • Experience with backend Microsoft technologies such as C#,.NET Framework, and.NET Core.
  • Experience with database technologies, SQL, PostgreSQL, and Entity Framework Core.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to work across multiple functions, businesses, and geographies.
  • Experience in development of software that interacts with hardware devices.
  • Knowledge of analytical instrumentation or life sciences markets.
  • Experience working with Atlassian products (BitBucket, Confluence, JIRA), or in a Scrum team with Scrum methodologies.
