Job Summary

The Universität Hamburg is seeking a highly skilled Research Associate in Atmospheric Turbulence and Boundary Layers to join our team. As a key member of our working group, you will contribute to cutting-edge research in cloud-turbulence interaction, convection, stratified turbulence, and near-surface turbulence, with a focus on high-performance computing and exascale computing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in atmospheric science, fluid mechanics, and turbulence, with a focus on high-performance computing and exascale computing.
  • Teach and mentor students in the field of atmospheric science and turbulence.
  • Pursue independent research and further academic qualifications.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in a relevant field, such as atmospheric science, fluid mechanics, or a related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of atmospheric science, fluid mechanics, and turbulence.
  • Proficiency in parallel programming, data analysis, and high-performance computing.
  • Demonstrated experience in publishing research results and good communication skills.
