Senior Battery Business Developer

Welcome to ENGIE FlexGen Europe, a key player in the transition towards a carbon-neutral economy. We are currently seeking a Senior Battery Business Developer to join our Business Development team in Berlin.
As a Senior Battery Business Developer, you will be responsible for the development of large-scale battery storage systems in Germany for ENGIE FlexGen Europe. Your focus will be on projects with investment costs of €1+ billion each.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new business opportunities through organic growth and mergers & acquisitions (M&A)
- Manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success
- Build and manage a functional team for battery energy storage system projects
- Manage project control, design, procurement, grid connection, and approvals
- Ensure project development activities comply with ENGIE standards and procedures
Your Profile:
- Completed university degree in energy economics, engineering, natural sciences, or a comparable course of study
- Many years of professional experience in the power generation industry, with knowledge of BESS, the energy sector, the German legal framework, grid connection, and/or the green H2 industry
- Familiarity with the German power market, business plans, project management/business development, permitting, grid connection procedures, and/or safety studies
- Knowledge of MS Office packages
- Strong team and interpersonal skills, negotiation and communication skills, and an independent and solution-oriented way of working
- Fluency in German and English (C1 level), knowledge of Dutch or French is an advantage
