Senior Battery Business Developer

Welcome to ENGIE FlexGen Europe, a key player in the transition towards a carbon-neutral economy. We are currently seeking a Senior Battery Business Developer to join our Business Development team in Berlin.

About the Role:

  • Develop new business opportunities through organic growth and mergers & acquisitions (M&A)
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Build and manage a functional team for battery energy storage system projects
  • Manage projects from development to implementation, including project control, design, procurement, grid connection, and approvals
  • Ensure compliance with ENGIE standards and procedures

Requirements:

  • Completed university degree in energy economics, engineering, natural sciences, or a comparable field
  • Many years of professional experience in the power generation industry, with knowledge of BESS, the energy sector, the German legal framework, grid connection, and/or the green H2 industry
  • Familiarity with the German power market, business plans, project management, permitting, grid connection procedures, and/or safety studies
  • Knowledge of MS Office packages and strong team and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in German and English (C1 level), knowledge of Dutch or French is an advantage
