Senior Backend Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our team at Nitrado (marbis GmbH). As a key member of our enterprise console team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing scalable and reliable web APIs that power our high-scale game server orchestrator and other services.
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver user-centric solutions that meet the business and technical requirements. You will also provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and share your knowledge and expertise with the team.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and test scalable and reliable web APIs that power our enterprise console.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and share your knowledge and expertise with the team.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in the backend development field and evaluate and adopt new tools and frameworks as needed.
- Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in backend development, preferably with Go.
- Strong knowledge in designing scalable and fault-tolerant Web APIs, through modern principles like Event Driven Design.
- Experience with K8S, distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms.
- Experience with testing frameworks, CI/CD tools, and code quality tools.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
