About the Role:

  • You will represent the interests of Vibracoustic for the Commodity group Metals / Electromechanics, Electronic Components and PCBs in the region EU, fostering strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • As a key member of the team, you will conduct market analysis of indices, technologies, and suppliers' financial risk, providing valuable insights to internal stakeholders.
  • You will be responsible for researching and scouting the supply market for commodities in the best cost countries, leading the onboarding process and ensuring alignment with automotive requirements.
  • Develop and implement a regional commodity strategy in alignment with the global commodity manager, defining and maintaining a supplier portfolio, and driving the strategy throughout the region.
  • You will work towards achieving material cost savings targets through negotiation, directing new/existing business awards, and supporting Value Analysis/Value Engineering activities.
  • Negotiate annual contracts and agreements with portfolio suppliers, settling delivery and payment terms/incoterms.
  • Ensure the reporting of purchasing performance results and set up the ERP System in terms of pricing, surcharges, etc.

Requirements:

  • You have profound experience in purchasing/commodity buying, especially in the automotive area.
  • A degree in engineering or Business Administration is a plus.
  • You have excellent knowledge of purchasing and automotive processes.
  • Your personality is characterized by strong negotiation skills and the ability to work independently.
  • You enjoy business travel and networking, preferably with suppliers.
  • You are fluent in English (written and spoken) and proficient in German.
