Research Scientist for Stereoscopic X-Ray Vision

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to join our team at Universität Hamburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and testing a newly developed experimental in-situ environment for investigating nanomaterials.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and test the experimental in-situ environment
- Investigate nanomaterials using X-Ray microscopy
- Coordinate beamtime preparation and perform in-situ experiments
- Apply numerical algorithms for combining multi-beam and multi-slicing ptychography
Requirements
- University degree in a relevant field plus doctorate
- Excellent programming skills in Python, C++, and CUDA
- Good understanding of solid-state physics and scanning X-Ray microscopy methods
- Excellent communication and self-management skills
About the Position
This is a full-time position suitable for part-time work. The successful candidate will be a connecting link between chemically driven efforts at Universität Hamburg and methodologically driven efforts at DESY and KTH. The position offers a reliable remuneration based on wage agreements, continuing education opportunities, and a university pension.
