At Optimus Search, we're on a mission to revolutionize the electric car charging experience. As a seasoned Hardware Design Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in advancing the development and optimization of new and upcoming charging infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop high-power electronics systems and components.
  • Perform circuit analysis and optimization using simulation tools.
  • Select and integrate power semiconductors, passive components, and magnetics.
  • Conduct filter and feedback loop design, including simulation and testing.
  • Design multi-layer PCBs (6+ layers), emphasizing thermal management and manufacturability.
  • Prototype, build, and test power electronics hardware, ensuring functionality and reliability.
  • Develop analytical tools for thermal management and EMC compliance in high-power systems.
  • Implement design strategies such as DFM, DFT, and DFR.
  • Ensure hardware designs meet technical specifications and global standards.
Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in high-power electronics design (AC/DC, DC/DC systems).
  • Proficiency in circuit simulation and analysis tools.
  • Extensive experience in PCB design software (e.g., Altium Designer) with a focus on power electronics and EMI/EMC.
  • Strong knowledge of power semiconductor devices (MOSFETs, IGBTs, SiC).
  • Expertise in thermal management and power converter design/control methods.
  • Familiarity with power conversion topologies such as PFC, LLC, and PSFB.
  • Experience with design tools like Mathcad, MATLAB, Simulink, and PLECS.
  • Knowledge of digital control techniques in power electronics.
  • Experience with EV powertrain systems (preferred).
  • Expertise in high-voltage module design (450VDC-850VDC, 100KW+ power).
  • Development of gate drive boards for power semiconductor devices.
