Senior Hardware Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join our team at JUCR GmbH, a leading company in the Electric Vehicle (EV) charging industry. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative hardware solutions for our EV charging systems.
About Your Responsibilities- Design and Development: Design and develop hardware solutions for EV chargers, focusing on communication interfaces (including RS485, USB, Ethernet, WiFi, etc.) and Human Machine Interface (HMI).
- Power Meter Interfaces: Develop and implement power meter interfaces to ensure accurate and reliable energy measurements.
- Schematic and PCB Design: Create detailed schematics and PCB layouts, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Hardware Testing and Validation: Conduct hardware testing and validation to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Integration and Collaboration: Collaborate with firmware and software engineers to integrate hardware solutions with system software.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues throughout the product lifecycle.
- Design Reviews and Feedback: Perform design reviews and provide feedback to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Staying Up-to-Date: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in EV charging technology and hardware design.
- Documentation: Document design specifications, test procedures, and other technical documentation.
- Education: Bachelor's / Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in hardware design, preferably in the EV or automotive industry.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of communication protocols and power meter interfaces. Proficient in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer). Experience with hardware testing and debugging tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers). Familiarity with EMC/EMI compliance and safety standards for EV chargers.
- Personal Qualities: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
