Logistics Manager

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for performing Operational Readiness mission and resource management in support of Army Preposition Stock (APS). This includes managing Fleet Readiness of up to the Battalion level quantity, maintaining Ready for Issue and Configure for Combat (CfC) standards in accordance with Army Regulations. The Logistics Manager will interpret Modernized Table of Equipment (MTOE) and Modernized Configuration of Equipment (MCoE) to meet APS standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:- Reports directly to the Supply Manager, providing analysis-based logistical standardization to provide prepositioned fleet management oversight and analysis-based logistical standardization to contractual requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring all logistical oversight of up to a Company level.
- May be required to work independently or with a team.
- May be required to maintain a responsive interface directly with USG customers to ensure mission requirements and expectations are met.
- Required to conduct direct counseling and appraisals of personnel periodically to ensure required qualifications are retained.
- Handles multiple operations simultaneously and provides updated status on cost, schedule, and mission performance.
- Manages prepositioned stock fleet in accordance with Army Regulations and contractual requirements.
- Ensures specific mission/project benchmark goals are identified and attained.
- Responsible for planning, coordinating with, and briefing up to BN level command and staff.
- Partners in the development of Concept of Support/Course of Action briefs, APS-2 Set Annual Issue Exercise requirements, and issue plans IAW contract requirements.
- Tracks and analyzes Taskers, operational activities, and department metrics.
- Plans and coordinates multiple mission requirements, including APS Set R1 & S1 Readiness levels.
- Assists with the sustainment program through operational analysis, planning, maintenance, and readiness reporting.
- Serves as the liaison between all functional departments to achieve a cohesive result.
- Disseminates mission guidance for all operations/taskers.
- Develops and implements strategic initiatives to continually improve the overall quality of the maintenance program.
- Develops, manages, monitors, actions, and produces Operational Concepts of Support in support of mission or unit issues.
- Coordinates oversight of Readiness Control Analysis to sustain direct communication with all supporting Material Readiness Center and Logistics Operation Center sections to achieve benchmark goals.
- Analyzes historical data, monitoring performance benchmarks, and developing performance continuous improvement programs in the functional area.
- Identifies ONS, Taskers, prioritizes, assigns responsibility, resources, manages, and monitors their implementation of processes based on PWS requirements.
- Develops and publishes weekly Operational Readiness reports utilizing required Army Regulations and PWS requirements.
- Implemented and improved the current processes and procedures, including new tracking methodologies.
- Responsible for monitoring all MTOE, MCoE, and WRSI stocks and configurations being actioned by the functional areas IAW PWS and ARs.
- Conducts research from data entered into AWRDS to ensure all discrepancies are properly identified and corrected.
- Evaluates MWO's/SOUMS/GPA's for accuracy and discrepancies and ensures outstanding messages are corrected with the appropriate recommended actions.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
- 8 years of related civilian or military experience required.
- 5 years supervisory experience required.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Must have the ability to interpret and implement local policies.
- Must have an intermediate level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Outlook.
- Must have progressive written and oral communications skills.
- Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work and communicate with others effectively.
- Possesses the capability to use appropriate logistics LIS systems such as: GCSS Army, LMP, and LIW.
Certification, License & Clearance:
- Citizenship required.
- Must have or be able to obtain a Passport.
- Must be able to meet and maintain all base access security requirements.
- Secret Clearance is required.
Work Environment, Physical Demands & Mental Demands:
- Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
- Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions, including dust and high temperatures.
- Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather, and hazardous conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Army Logistics MOS preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration/Management, or equivalent highly preferred. 4 additional years of experience over minimum required can be substituted for degree.
