Job Description

As Senior Legal Counsel, you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing expert advice on various aspects of economic law and financial regulation, including WpHG, GwG, and MiFiD II.
  • Offering legal guidance in other areas, such as general civil and trademark law.
  • Drafting and negotiating contracts with international partners in the field of general contract and banking law.
  • Developing new financial products, such as cryptocurrency trading.
  • Supporting the development of contracts and templates in corporate governance and compliance.
  • Serving as a liaison between departments, including auditing, compliance, and regulatory bodies.
  • Coordinating external lawyers and law firms independently.
  • Presenting recommendations to management, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A degree in law and a second state examination, preferably with a grade of 'fully satisfied' or higher.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in corporate and/or banking and capital markets law, ideally in a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • A deep understanding of economic relationships, entrepreneurial thinking, and a hands-on approach.
  • The ability to work flexibly, dynamically, and independently.
  • Fluent German and English skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is around €120,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
