Additive Manufacturing Technical Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Additive Manufacturing Technical Specialist to join our team at Nikon SLM Solutions. As a key technical role, you will play a crucial part in guiding customers on their additive manufacturing adoption journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and consult on customer parts to develop business case analyses
  • Consult on design for additive manufacturing, setup files and documentation for print jobs, print parts, and report results to the customer
  • Provide technical guidance across the additive manufacturing value chain to support the sale of Nikon SLM Solutions products
  • Execute projects for customers from project scoping, proposal, printing, post processing, testing, and reporting
  • Conduct advanced training programs at customer sites and at the headquarters in Lübeck
Requirements
  • Bachelors or Master's degree in an engineering discipline
  • At least 2 years' previous experience, for senior 5+ years post-bachelor's experience in LPBF
  • Desire to train others in the use of additive manufacturing and demonstrated passion for how additive manufacturing is successfully implemented
  • Demonstrated ability to manage several ongoing processes and projects
  • Proven experience with part and data preparation software, such as Materialise Magics, Autodesk Netfabb, or equivalent software
  • Domestic and international travel up to 30%
