Job Title: Cloud Operations Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Operations Engineer to join our team at Burckhardt Compression AG. As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement cloud architecture for our microservices, databases, and IoT components
  • Monitor and maintain cloud components, IoT devices, and their availability
  • Extend existing cloud architecture with new components and services
  • Maintain, scale, and operate cloud components
  • Implement optimizations for cost, scalability, and efficiency
  • Advise development teams on cloud component selection and deployment
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery processes and deployment strategies
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure secure operations
  • Support certification processes and communicate with service providers
  • Work with product management and development to design and maintain the overall solution
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Experience with cloud providers, preferably Azure
  • Mastery of IoT cloud infrastructure
  • Infrastructure as Code experience, preferably Terraform
  • Linux experience
  • Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python
  • DevOps and security best practices
  • Experience in maintaining remote systems, edge devices, and servers
  • Good knowledge of English and German
