About the Role

As a key member of the Strategy & Commercial team at terralayr AG, you will be responsible for driving the commercial definition and go-to-market strategy for our platform services and products. This critical role requires a strong interface with the Product & Tech team to ensure our product meets market and customer needs, while also navigating regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Business Development: Sell our flexibility products to asset owners and flexibility buyers, leveraging your commercial acumen to drive revenue growth.
  • Customer Discovery: Lead and drive customer discovery efforts to gain a deep understanding of customer interests and derive actionable insights for strategic and product-level decision-making.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with the Product & Tech team to develop new Flex Products & Services, validate their innovation potential, and steer their implementation process.
  • Commercial Implementation: Craft our platform products/services from value proposition to commercial implementation, including customer contracts, service provider agreements, pricing, and regulatory framework compliance.
  • Feedback and Insights: Funnel prospect and customer feedback to the product and development team to inform product and service feature development and roadmaps.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Define the go-to-market strategy for our platform services and products, ensuring our commercial setup is ready to deliver them.
  • Hypothesis Testing: Test and validate commercial hypotheses, deriving insights that inform actionable options.
  • Collaboration and Contracting: Arrange and prepare the closing of key collaboration contracts with stakeholders, such as framework agreements or first-time arrangements.
Requirements
  • Commercial Expertise: Strong negotiation, contract management, and vendor relationship management skills.
  • Energy Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the energy market, including relevant stakeholders across the value chain.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to translate complex issues into actionable outcomes.
  • Sales and Presentation: Superior sales presentation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Entrepreneurial attitude with an insatiable appetite for closing deals and driving innovation.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • PPA Origination: Having served in an origination role for PPAs is a plus.
