Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced LabVIEW control and systems integration engineer to join our special-projects rocketry team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing bespoke test, embedded, and distributed control systems using LabVIEW on Windows, Real-Time, and FPGA platforms.

Key Tasks
  • Design and develop LabVIEW programs for test and control systems, including TCP/IP and UDP serialization and communication libraries.
  • Develop highly robust, modular, and reusable code libraries for LabVIEW.
  • Interface with engineers to produce and fulfill test system specifications.
  • Read and produce wiring/circuit diagrams.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree in software engineering, robotics, electronic engineering, mechatronics automation, or a related discipline. You should also have strong experience in programming large-scale applications using National Instruments LabVIEW on Windows, Real-Time, and FPGA platforms.

You will need to be able to work 'hands-on' from first principles to diagnose electrical and electronic issues using common test and measurement equipment. You should also be fluent in oral and written English skills, as all day-to-day activities are performed in English.

Experience with common sensors, transducers, and actuators is also essential. Additionally, experience with design and development of custom RIO Mezzanine cards and FPGA interfacing is advantageous.
