About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled LabVIEW software engineer to join our team at Rocket Factory Augsburg AG. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing bespoke test, embedded, and distributed control systems using LabVIEW.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Design and Development: Design and develop large-scale applications using National Instruments LabVIEW on Windows, Real-time, and FPGA platforms.
  • Communication and Interfacing: Create TCP/IP and UDP serialization and communications libraries, and interface with engineers to produce and fulfill test system specifications.
  • Hardware Selection and Validation: Select, interface, test, and validate DAQ and control system hardware.
  • Code Development: Program highly robust, modular, and reusable code libraries.
  • Problem-Solving: Diagnose electrical and electronic issues using common test and measurement equipment, and develop solutions independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in software engineering, robotics, electronic engineering, mechatronics automation, or a related discipline.
  • LabVIEW Certification: Hold LabVIEW training and certificates, such as the Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer (CLAD) certificate or LabVIEW Programming and Diagnostic badges.
  • Programming Experience: Strong experience in programming large-scale applications using National Instruments LabVIEW on Windows, Real-time, and FPGA platforms.
  • Communication Skills: Fluent oral and written English skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Technical Skills: Extensive experience with common sensors, transducers, and actuators, and experience with design and development of custom RIO Mezzanine cards and FPGA interfacing is advantageous.
