Detector Development Specialist

The Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics is seeking a highly skilled Detector Development Specialist to join its team of experts in satellite instrumentation. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing experiments at complex measurement setups, characterizing DEPFET detectors, and defining test requirements and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute experiments at advanced measurement setups
- Characterize DEPFET detectors through experimentation and data analysis
- Develop and document test procedures and requirements
- Support the verification of other instrument components
- Analyze data to determine detector properties and characteristics
- Interpret and document results
- Extend data analysis programs
Requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Completed scientific university degree in physics or equivalent
- Knowledge of semiconductor detectors and measurement technology
- Practical experience in data analysis and team communication
- Good knowledge of C++ and ROOT framework (advantageous)
