Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Manager Mergers and Acquisitions to join our Renewables team in Düsseldorf. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and executing acquisitions of early-stage development projects and disposals of 0.5-1 GW plus p.a. of renewables projects or portfolios.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage internal project teams and external advisors to resolve project issues and risks and ensure project success
  • Negotiate transaction structures and commercial terms with counterparties together with relevant stakeholders
  • Manage joint ventures, partnership structures, and acquired companies
  • Optimize cooperation within the Renewables team, consisting of developers, engineers, offtake managers, market and strategy analysts, and a network of external partners
  • Report to the Vice President Asset Rotation & Partnering at Uniper
Requirements
  • University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or comparable studies
  • Extensive relevant work experience in commercial renewables, corporate M&A, corporate finance, or comparable commercial roles
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, as well as experience in leading project teams
  • Understanding of main economic drivers of utility-scale solar-PV and wind assets
  • Creative and open-minded individual with a good sense of humor
  • Proven track record of international work experience and appreciation of cultural differences
  • High mobility/willingness to travel internationally
  • Business fluency in German, English, additional languages a plus
