Senior Architect

As a Senior Architect at European Commodity Clearing AG, you will play a key role in shaping the software architecture of our financial services systems. Your primary responsibility will be to develop software concepts and architectures that meet the business, technical, and compliance requirements of our product managers and teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and design software components and interfaces to meet business requirements
  • Plan and evaluate work packages to ensure timely delivery
  • Select appropriate technologies for technical enablement of product teams
  • Advise full stack software development team on implementation of defined requirements
  • Develop integration and verification strategies and support implementation phase
  • Coordinate with IT, information security, and other control functions for compliance with regulations and corporate security requirements
Requirements:
  • University degree in Information Technology/Computer Science Engineering or IT specialist apprenticeship
  • Background in full stack software development and architecture with several years of hands-on experience in designing cloud/on-premise architectures
  • Solid understanding of full stack web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/Angular, Java, Python, multiple databases)
  • Knowledge of security controls for public cloud (encryption of data in motion/rest and key management)
  • Experience in Requirements Engineering and Domain Driven Design
  • Knowledge of Linux containers and Kubernetes
  • Practical experience in working with and architecting at least one Hyperscaler, preferably Google or Azure
  • Experienced in working with agile tools (e.g. Confluence, Jira, Dev-Ops)
  • Teamplayer mindset with strong intercultural and communication skills and capabilities in conflict management
  • Business fluent language skills in German and English
