About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior General Counsel to join our team at Kipu Quantum. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in guiding our company through complex legal landscapes, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Oversee Legal Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive legal strategy that aligns with our business objectives, providing legal consultancy to internal stakeholders on a wide range of legal matters.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and that all contracts reflect our company's best interests and comply with applicable laws.
  • Draft and Negotiate Agreements: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of complex agreements and contracts, including those related to intellectual property, technology licensing, and collaborations.
  • Manage Legal Risks: Identify and manage legal risks, implementing proactive strategies to mitigate potential issues, and advising on risk-related aspects of business decisions and operations.
  • Lead the Legal Team: Lead and mentor our Legal and IP team, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Protect and Manage IP: Support the development, protection, and management of our company's IP portfolio, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, in close collaboration with external patent attorneys.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Completed studies in law or legal studies, or equivalent qualifications, with relevant professional experience in the technology sector, preferably in quantum computing or a related deep tech field.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, with the ability to align legal strategies with business goals, and excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and advise senior leadership.
  • Language Skills: Excellent command of English and German is necessary.
