As a Senior Business Development Manager at Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, you will be responsible for leading the business development of the High Frequency Electronics department. This involves acquiring and coordinating cutting-edge national and international research and development projects in the field of high frequency components, circuits, and systems for applications in the sub-millimeter wave to terahertz frequency range.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a strategic business plan for the High Frequency Electronics department, focusing on future-oriented and sustainable research themes.
- Lead project work in the area of sub-millimeter wave and THz circuits and systems.
- Establish and maintain relationships with public and industrial clients, identifying new business opportunities and securing funding for research projects.
- Promote the Fraunhofer IAF's expertise in high frequency electronics and IC technologies through presentations, publications, and networking activities.
- Develop and implement a business development strategy to increase the department's revenue and visibility.
- Collaborate with the scientific departments and the marketing and communication department to ensure a consistent and effective communication strategy.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, preferably with a Ph.D.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably in the high frequency electronics industry.
- Strong network of contacts in the industry, academia, and government.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on results and customer satisfaction.
- Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
