Mutares SE & Co. KGaA is an investment firm that acquires companies or parts of companies that are being divested as part of a repositioning strategy by the owner and possess significant operational improvement potential. This includes businesses that are in crisis or restructuring phases or those that no longer align with the core business of the seller.

Mutares primarily invests in companies that already have an established business model, often combined with a strong brand. The focus areas include Automotive and Mobility, Plant and Machinery Engineering, as well as Goods and Services. The aim is to acquire stakes in companies with revenues ranging from EUR 100 to 750 million, as well as smaller, targeted acquisitions for the strategic development of individual investments.

Mutares actively supports and develops its portfolio companies with dedicated investment and expert teams, as well as through strategic add-on acquisitions. The goal is to achieve significant value enhancement with a focus on sustainable growth of the portfolio company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently process travel expense reports for colleagues
  • Manage the posting of credit card transactions, cash, and bank account statements
  • Assist team members in reconciling, clarifying, and maintaining general ledger entries
  • Temporarily prepare payment proposals and organize payment runs
Candidate Profile
  • Completed commercial training or relevant additional qualification, preferably with a focus on accounting or finance
  • Initial professional experience in accounting is advantageous
  • Ideally familiar with Datev or other ERP systems
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel
  • Fluent in German and possess good English skills, both written and spoken
  • Strong affinity for numbers and meticulousness in work
  • Team-oriented with excellent communication skills
