The Finance Team at ABOUT YOU is dedicated to managing the financial records of all transactions in accordance with HGB and IFRS standards. This is essential for both internal and external financial reporting. A key aspect of our work involves financial accounting, which encompasses the management of accounts receivable and accounts payable, along with inventory accounting. As a vital member of our team, you will contribute to the digitization and enhancement of accounting processes.
In your position as Junior Accountant – Sales & Receivables (Accounts Receivable) (m/f/d), you will take charge of processing business transactions related to accounts receivable and financial accounting, while also playing a role in refining the associated processes. You will have the chance to collaborate with a vibrant, international team divided into two sub-teams: B2C and B2B.
Within the B2C Team, you will discover the dynamic nature of accounting in the e-commerce sector, gaining insights into the operations of online shops across Europe while managing outstanding items.
Conversely, if you join our B2B Team, you will find that accounting in this area is far from mundane. From influencer collaborations to fulfillment services and technology-related billing processes, there is always something new to explore.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage various business transactions in accounts receivable
- Communicate with different departments, partners, and payment service providers
- Process and resolve outstanding items
- Administer and manage our mailing lists
- Assist in projects aimed at optimizing accounting processes
Qualifications
- Completed training as an accountant or a comparable qualification in commercial training such as tax clerk, industrial clerk, or office clerk
- Initial professional experience is desirable but not mandatory
- Familiarity with IT systems such as NAV18, Dynamics F&O & SAP 4HANA is a plus
- Independent and proactive working style with strong communication skills
- Fluency in English
