Key Responsibilities

  • You will lead the acquisition of suitable properties primarily in the DACH region, utilizing your expertise in real estate dynamics and hospitality sector knowledge.
  • You will provide analytical support during real estate transactions for the entire team, including financial analysis, underwrite process, and support during the entire transaction process.
  • You will assist with market and financial analysis during acquisition, lease opportunity, and financing processes, ensuring a thorough understanding of the market.
  • You will create and update financial models for acquisitions and lease opportunities with the support of the Development Managers.
  • You will prepare investment memorandums and information packages for the internal investment committee, board of directors, and financial institutions.
  • You will analyze operational data of existing hostel properties (monthly reporting, budgets) for performance benchmark and underwriting purposes.
  • You will support our Head of Development throughout transactions (LOIs, structuring, review, and negotiation of transactional documents).
  • You will analyze potential development and capital project proposals to ensure they contribute to operating performance and meet investment return criteria (special projects).

Requirements

  • You have an in-depth understanding of real estate acquisition and its dynamics as well as a strong interest in the hospitality sector.
  • You have earned 3-4 years of experience in an analytical, investment, or real estate development role.
  • Strong research and analytical skills describe your personality.
  • You possess a good understanding of profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash-flow statements.
  • You are able to work on your own initiative, whether independently or as part of a team.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and attention to detail.
  • You have strong written and oral skills in English and German. Other European languages are an advantage, but not a must.
  • Professional attitude showing credibility and appropriate verbal and non-verbal behavior with clients and colleagues.
  • You are skilled in using MS Office (incl. MS Excel and PowerPoint) and financial modeling.
