Headquartered in Berlin, with offices in Munich and Frankfurt, we manage over €500 million of residential assets in German metropolitan regions for global blue-chip investors.

Our investment focus lies in identifying high-quality assets with unrealized potential. We unlock this potential through granular tenant management, re-leasing, refurbishment, extensive capital expenditures, and re-developments in various strategies.

Fundament's goal is to build a portfolio of stable assets that deliver exceptional returns to our investors at relatively low risk, ensuring a transparent, personalized, and seamless experience that creates value for all stakeholders throughout the transaction life cycle.

Internship Responsibilities

As an intern, you will be fully integrated into the day-to-day business of our Acquisitions and Asset Management team. Your primary tasks will include:

  • Evaluating new investment opportunities, assessing business models and business plans
  • Developing financial models and conducting valuations to inform investment decisions
  • Preparing draft presentations for current and prospective projects, highlighting key investment opportunities and risks
  • Supporting the due diligence process for new targets, ensuring thorough analysis and risk assessment
  • Benchmarking and industry analysis to stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity
  • Conducting market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities
  • Collaborating with our asset management specialists to develop value-maximizing strategies for our portfolios, coordinating with external providers and property managers as needed
Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong interest in finance, real estate, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and related sectors
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in economics, finance, real estate, or a related field, with outstanding academic performance
  • Ability to work effectively within a small and dynamic team
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to quickly grasp new tasks and content
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel (this will be tested)
  • Fluency in both German and English
  • Previous experience in corporate finance or real estate is an advantage, but not a requirement
