Process Engineer Operations Specialist

Job Summary:

The Process Engineer Operations is responsible for providing technical and process support to drive quality, safety, cost, and plant effectiveness in Operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Process Improvements: Identify and implement improvement opportunities for production and reliability in alignment with the Engineering department.
  • Projects: Manage technical projects or contribute to them, developing concepts and coordinating their execution.
  • Troubleshooting: Support production and maintenance departments in daily operations, including troubleshooting complex issues and executing actions from root cause analysis.
  • Know-How-Transfer: Develop and transfer production and engineering knowledge to relevant stakeholders, including engineering, maintenance, operators, and other locations.
  • Leading: Guide and manage teams without a direct line manager function, coordinating interfaces between production, technical, engineering departments, and contractors.
  • Standards: Develop and supervise the implementation of internal and external standards.
  • Safety: Ensure occupational safety in production and maintenance, supporting projects with specific expertise.

Requirements:

  • Mandatory requirements:
    • Master's degree in Engineering, ideally Process or Chemical Engineering.
    • Work experience in process engineering and project management.
    • Good knowledge and experience in data collection and analytical tools, including root cause analysis and identifying CI opportunities.
    • Strong knowledge of MS Office.
    • Fluent spoken and written English and German (minimum level C1).
  • Desirable requirements:
    • Previous experience in continuous improvement (CI).
    • Lean Six Sigma, Green Belt, 5s skills.
    • Working knowledge of SAP, PCS7, PowerBI.
