Packaging Solutions Expert

Siegwerk is a leading supplier of Printing Inks and sustainable packaging solutions. As an Expert (f/m/d) Coatings & Packaging, you will be part of our new business unit and work with your colleagues to build up Siegwerk's business in the area of coatings for food packaging. Your responsibilities will include supporting our customers and recommending the best product for their needs.
You will accompany and lead tests at the customer's premises or in our own laboratory, prepare technical reports, and present our products to the customer. In case of problems or complaints, you will solve them together and confidentially on site at the customer's premises or in the laboratory, making you an important sparring partner for them.
You will independently carry out audits at new customers and benchmark the performance of our products. You will also communicate customer needs as ideas for new developments and support them or help to improve existing products.
You will work closely with your colleagues from Sales and provide product application training for customers. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree in natural sciences in a relevant field with in-depth knowledge of polymer or physical chemistry, plastics, or coating technology.
You will also need to have in-depth knowledge of the paper and packaging markets as well as industrial experience in coatings for food packaging. You should be creative, solution-oriented, and innovative with a willingness to learn new things. Fluency in German and English is also required, as you will need to communicate technical topics to customers and colleagues in an understandable way.
