Sub-System Manager

At Alstom, we're looking for a talented Sub-System Manager to join our team in Mannheim. As a key member of our Power Train team, you'll be responsible for managing and delivering project sub-systems, ensuring customer needs are met and committed QCDP objectives are achieved.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Manage cross-functionally sub-system level stakeholders, activities, and deliverables, making necessary arbitration to reach QCDP commitment.
- Coordinate activities for the Power Train system with other project stakeholders, including integration teams and project level functions.
- Contribute to successful project execution on allocated sub-system scope of work.
- Lead and coordinate sub-system activities and stakeholders, from requirement capture/analysis to the end of project contractual obligations.
- Coordinate and synchronize sub-system activities with other sub-systems and project teams.
About You:

- Relevant academic background, Master of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Mechatronic, Railway System).
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar position with relevant experience in rolling stock development.
- Familiar with system engineering, concept design, and architecture, requirement management, functional analysis, testing, and commissioning.
- Good understanding of HW and SW interactions within complex system architectures.
- Knowledge of applicable standards and regulations for rolling stock.
- Open-minded, (self-) entrepreneurial, problem-setting, and problem-solving, sense of urgency.
- Leadership, team motivator.
- Good presentation and writing skills required: clarity, rigor, and concision.
- Fluent in English and German and comfortable working as part of a multi-national and distributed engineering team.
