Subsystem Manager

At Alstom, we're looking for a skilled Subsystem Manager to lead and coordinate sub-system activities and stakeholders from requirement capture/analysis to the end of project contractual obligations limited to the sub-system scope of work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage cross-functionally sub-system level stakeholders, activities, and deliverables and making needed arbitration (engineering, product x process, Make or Buy, Costs, Milestones, Interfaces, etc.) to reach QCDP (Quality Cost Delivery Planning) commitment
  • Coordinate and synchronize sub-system activities with other sub-Systems and project teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality
  • Utilize technical project management experience to cover relevant phases in the V model lifecycle
  • Uphold awareness of processes for project and product development, including knowledge of railway or other safety regulated industry norms and certifications
  • Apply functional and system/software engineering knowledge to optimize project outcomes

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of functional and system/software engineering
  • At least 2 years of experience in technical project management within the V-model lifecycle
  • Knowledge of project and product development processes, particularly in safety-regulated industries
  • Effective communicator with a knack for holding people accountable
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a team player with a focus on customer satisfaction
