**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly experienced Procurement Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for a team of 5, purchasing finished products across various industry segments. You must have proven leadership experience to be successful in this role.
**Operational Responsibilities**
- Oversee material planning, purchasing prices, and inventory management to ensure optimal supply chain efficiency.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure procurement team performance.
- Regularly review and manage purchasing forecasts to ensure accurate demand planning.
- Develop and implement material planning and procurement strategies across various product categories to drive business growth.
- Manage and execute purchasing price controls to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Perform day-to-day purchasing activities, including vendor management and contract negotiation.
**Team Leadership Responsibilities**
- Provide technical leadership and manage the purchasing team to ensure high-performing team members.
- Enhance and refine the key performance indicator system to measure team performance.
- Drive continuous improvement of operational processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Train and mentor team members to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Participate in personnel selection and conduct employee interviews to ensure the right candidates are hired.
**Your Profile**
**Technical Requirements**
- A degree in purchasing, business administration, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and practices.
- Proven experience in managing a purchasing department, with a track record of success.
- Expertise in developing and implementing effective procurement strategies, policies, and processes.
- Proficient in SAP (SD, MM, MW) and MS Office applications.
- Fluent in both German and English, with proficiency in Chinese being a plus but not essential.
