About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architect to join our team at Continental. As a key member of our IT organization, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud architectures to ensure the effective and performant operation of our Engineering applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain cloud architectures that align with Continental's IT EA and Conti standards for Service and Application Architecture.
  • Validate the latest available technologies, components, and tools on the market to operate our current and future Engineering Applications.
  • Design proof of concepts using components from AWS, Azure, and other cloud suppliers.
  • Coordinate IT and business requests with stakeholders via DevOps processes.
  • Support the rollout and version upgrades for our Agile/CI Applications hosted in AWS Conti VPCs.
  • Understand and follow Continental's R&D and IT processes.
  • Collaborate with a worldwide team from different time zones and cultures.

Requirements

  • Academic degree in information technology (Master) or comparable qualification.
  • Several years of hands-on work experience in an IT organization or an organization working with cloud.
  • Hands-on experience with Continental's Cloud Governance Framework.
  • Deep knowledge of JAZZ and ELM environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of at least AWS Cloud computing vendors.
  • Deep understanding of cloud and on-prem technology and services.
  • Execution and contribution to Continental's Cloud Governance Framework.
  • Basic understanding of cloud-based service models and deployment models.
  • Knowledge of SAFe and SCRUM, especially the used approach for A O IT EA.
  • Understanding of IT processes and terminology.
  • Fluent English and basic German skills written and spoken.
  • Ability to align, organize, and plan activities and tasks in an Agile way for and with the worldwide team.
