Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Cloud Architect to join our team at Continental. As a key member of our Engineering organization, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud architectures that support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cloud Architecture Design: Develop and implement cloud architectures that meet the needs of our Engineering applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure, including cloud providers such as AWS and Azure, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend the latest cloud technologies, components, and tools to support our Engineering applications.
  • Proof of Concept Design: Design and implement proof of concepts using cloud components from various suppliers to demonstrate new technologies and architectures.
  • IT and Business Coordination: Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between IT and business requirements, using DevOps processes to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Agile Application Support: Support the rollout and version upgrades of Agile/CI applications hosted in AWS Conti VPCs.
  • Process Understanding: Understand and follow Continental's R&D and IT processes, working collaboratively with a global team.
Requirements
  • Academic Qualification: Master's degree in Information Technology or equivalent qualification.
  • Work Experience: Several years of hands-on experience in an IT organization or an organization working with cloud.
  • Cloud Governance: Hands-on experience with Continental's Cloud Governance Framework.
  • Cloud Expertise: Deep knowledge of JAZZ and ELM environments, as well as advanced knowledge of AWS Cloud computing vendors.
  • Cloud Understanding: Deep understanding of cloud and on-prem technology and services.
  • Cloud Execution: Execution and contribution to Continental's Cloud Governance Framework.
  • Cloud Models: Basic understanding of cloud-based service models and deployment models.
  • Agile Methodologies: Knowledge of SAFe and SCRUM, especially the used approach for A O IT EA.
  • IT Terminology: Understanding of IT terminology and related statements/documentation/references.
  • Language Skills: Fluent English and basic German skills, written and spoken.
  • Agile Planning: Ability to align, organize, and plan activities and tasks in an Agile way for and with the worldwide team.
