Safety and Occupational Health Manager

**Job Summary**

The U.S. Army Europe and Africa is seeking a highly skilled Safety and Occupational Health Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating an Area Support Group Safety and Occupational Health program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safety and occupational health policies and procedures
  • Conduct workplace inspections and investigations to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
  • Provide technical guidance and training to employees on safety and occupational health procedures
  • Collaborate with management and employees to identify and mitigate workplace hazards
  • Develop and maintain safety and occupational health records and reports
  • Stay up-to-date with changing safety and occupational health regulations and standards

Requirements:

  • Certification as a safety professional in accordance with paragraph 7 of the Arbeitssicherheitsgesetz (AsiG)
  • Minimum education and experience requirements as outlined in the job announcement
  • Ability to complete regular, mandatory training as directed
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions:

  • May be required to perform TDY within and outside Germany, shift work, weekend and holiday work
