Field Service Technician

Job Summary:

As a Field Service Technician, you will perform and carry out all tasks related to installing, assembling, servicing, and repairing Aerzen products. You are also responsible for providing customers with prompt, professional, and high-quality service. Work is performed at our location and/or at our customer’s location. Services provided may be scheduled or on-demand.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform startups, equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and/or preventive maintenance service on all Aerzen Products at customer sites.
2. Represent Aerzen in a professional and courteous manner, following all Aerzen and customer safety requirements.
3. Install, configure, calibrate, and maintain control, measurement, and indicating instrumentation (pneumatic, analog & digital).
4. Install and terminate electrical, pneumatic, and fluid connections.
5. Understand controls narratives and analyze/troubleshoot process application-related issues.
6. Analyze and correct communication issues; properly address TCP/IP networks and RS-485 communications.
7. Perform repairs and assembly on Aerzen Products; disassemble; assess damage and evaluate failures on machines.
8. Diagnose problems with Aerzen machines by evaluating material condition and asking the customer questions.
9. Communicate with customers to discuss job requirements, provide recommendations, and service options, listen to customer concerns, and provide status updates during service calls and at completion.

Requirements:

Education Requirements: High School Diploma or associate degree (2 years schooling) in electronics technology, or associated field. 5+ years of field experience will also be considered in lieu of degree.

Experience: Over 4 years of Field Service and Repair experience.

Skills & Other Requirements:

• Ability to read and interpret diagrams (dimensions, assembly, electrical).
• Proper use of micrometer, dial indicator, feeler gauges, and coordinate measuring tools.
• Ability to regularly use a forklift, ladder, hand tools, power tools, welding, calibrated measurement devices, hydraulic equipment.
• Clean Driving Record.
