Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join our team and play a key role in our large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation. As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a new SAP enterprise data architecture, as well as supporting the migration of legacy data into the new system.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine design proposals for the SAP S/4HANA data model and architecture, collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements.
- Lead data design sessions with business and IT teams, perform data profiling of legacy ERP systems, and document findings to ensure a seamless transition to the new architecture.
- Identify and validate objects for the design phases of SAP S/4HANA rollout, ensuring alignment with global templates.
- Maintain and educate teams on the SAP S/4HANA data model architecture, identifying areas where data design impacts business processes.
- Establish and ensure compliance with data governance frameworks, integrating with Master Data Governance (MDG) and Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) projects.
- Support data migration processes, including the development of tools, rulesets, and assessments of existing mappings.
- Provide strategic consultancy, scope definition, and planning for complex projects and services, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.
- Represent the team in management meetings, collaborate with international and cross-functional internal and external stakeholders and teams, and propose enhancements to data architecture and processes.
Requirements
- A degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in data architecture, preferably in the life sciences, pharma, or healthcare sector, thereof at least 3 years with a focus on SAP S/4 HANA.
- SAP certifications are advantageous.
- Proven experience in leading complex data architecture projects within SAP S/4HANA environments and managing interdependencies across multiple workstreams and geographically dispersed teams.
- Deep knowledge of data strategies, modeling, integration, management, protection, and security principles, combined with the ability to translate technical topics into business language.
- Long-term experience in quality and risk management as well as regulatory (GxP) compliance.
- Strong presentation and communication skills in both English and German, especially when managing both internal and external suppliers and stakeholders.
- A highly organized, proactive, customer-, and results-oriented team player with both a strong ability to navigate complex, constantly changing environments and a high level of confidentiality.
