Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced construction-based Cost Manager to join our team in Frankfurt. As a Cost Manager, you'll be responsible for pre and post-contract duties, including cost estimates, procurement, and contract administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates and procurement reports
- Estimate and cost plan, including producing and presenting the final cost plan
- Tendering and procurement activity, including managing the pre-qualification stage and producing the tender list
- Take responsibility for timely and accurate cost checks and valuations
- Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present them to the client
- Interface with the client and other consultants at all project stages
- Participate effectively in post-contract cost variances and change control processes
- Perform cost risk analysis and provide input into value engineering
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality cost management/quantity surveying services across the full project lifecycle
- Experience of leading cost management commissions for large construction projects of high complexity
- Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters
- English skills are required, as well as basic German skills (min. B1), and willingness to improve German language skills
- Demonstrates excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills
- Sound organisational skills; ability to multi-task and be a team player
- Working knowledge of MS Office software and tools
- Working knowledge of cost databases and/or estimating software is advantageous
